Our 2020 Runners
Alexandra is the Finance and Operations Coordinator at Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Through her work, she sees the positive impact Make-A-Wish has on the lives of children and families and is excited to support our mission in a new way. Favorite activities for Alexandra include baking, binge watching Netflix shows, and singing in her local chorus, the Fine Arts Chorale.
Alex has been with Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island for over three years as our Database Manager and was first introduced to our organization through his 11 years as a volunteer in the pediatric playroom at Hasboro Children’s Hospital. The Falmouth Road Race will be his first-ever venture into charity races.
Stephanie Chrisikos Arendell
Stephanie is an adjunct professor at Lasell College as well as a Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island volunteer. She will be participating in the Falmouth Road Race in memory of her father as she raises funds to bring joy to our wish children. In addition to running, Stephanie also enjoys playing tennis.
Rich is the Director of Communications at Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island and will be running in memory of a special wish child from 2012, who wished to go to the Forida theme parks. In addition to working directly with our mission, he enjoys playing tennis and is a member of Wakefield’s Human Rights Commission.
Hopedale Make-A-Wish Club
Hopedale High School in Hopedale, MA, began a Make-A-Wish club this summer through our Kids For Wish Kids® program. John, club president and a senior at the school, wanted to find ways in which their club can start to fundraise for our organization and the Falmouth Road Race ‘At-Home Edition’ was the perfect opportunity. We thank the Hopedale students for their new support and welcome them to our Make-A-Wish community.
Bill Murphy is Branch Manager and Certified Mortgage Planner at Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation in Auburn, MA. A longtime and generous donor to Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island, he is passionate about spreading awareness of our mission to help make wishes come true. He was also a member of our 2019 Boston Marathon Team, raising $13,000 for our organization through it. With his love of triathlons, working out, and martial arts, joining our Falmouth team is the perfect fit!
Sarah is both a “super mom” and a dedicated Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island volunteer. Last year, she raised awareness of Make-A-Wish through Winchester’s Unite with Light, a luminaria night event that gives back to charity. Through it, she helped raised $7,000 for our organization. Sarah is excited to participate in Falmouth as another way to help wish children. She and her dog are part of a therapy dog team at McLean Hospital and she stays active through Zumba, kayaking, and hiking.
Kristen St. Martin-Lipton
Kristen is the president of KSML Consulting and mother of two boys. She feels blessed to have healthy children and will be running in honor of her friend's three-year-old son who has a rare brain tumor. Kristen has supported wishes in the past as a member of our 2018 Boston Marathon team.
Connor is a broker at Risk Placement Services as well as a member of our Wine and Wishes Committee, which organizes our annual tasting event in October. He is excited to continue supporting wishes through the Falmouth Road Race, and likes to be active through running, playing golf, tuna fishing, and skiing.
Thank you to the New Balance Falmouth Road Race for making this opportunity possible through the Numbers for Nonprofits Program.
