Support Team Make-A-Wish in the Falmouth Road Race

New Balance Falmouth Road Race
On August 19, 20 runners will represent Make-A-Wish® Massachusetts and Rhode Island in the 46th Annual New Balance Falmouth Road Race, a seven-mile run along Cape Cod. Each runner is working to raise at least $850 for wishes and you can help!

Kirby Aarsheim ApjohnKirby Aarsheim Apjohn
Kirby is an attorney at Clinton and Muzyka P.C. She is an avid volunteer for maritime organizations, such as Mariners club. Kirby is training to be a volunteer for Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island, and just can’t wait to start contributing to the organization. She loves yoga and her favorite mantra; “Lokah samastah sukhino bhavantu” (May all beings be happy and free) will be running through her mind as she races. Donate to Kirby's run

Colin DowdColin Dowd

Colin is a senior client account manager at Brown Brothers Harriman. Diagnosed with cancer when he was 17, he received a wish himself - a trip to Alaska! Since then, he has been determined to give back to Make-A-Wish. Colin is also a ski team coach and avid golfer. Donate to Colin's run

Catherine Draper

Catherine is an investment analyst assistant at High Fields Capital. She is a Make-A-Wish volunteer and will be running in honor of the wish children with whom she has worked! She enjoys giving back to Make-A-Wish , in appreciation of the many lessons learned as a volunteer at her hometown chapter in central New York, as well as at Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island. In her free time, Catherine loves yoga, hiking, and playing with her pup. Donate to Catherine's run

Lisa FoxLisa Fox
Lisa works as a technology coach at Sandwich Public Schools. She loves fundraising for Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island and hopes to grant more wishes for local children. Lisa recently discovered her passion for running, and just ran her first half marathon. Donate to Lisa's run

Anie GrunwaldAnie Grunwald

Anie is a marketing manager at Steffian Bradley Architects. She is a firm believer of the core values of Make-A-Wish. A big Boston sports fan, she can’t wait to start her run on August 19 and will be doing so in memory of her grandfather. Donate to Anie's run

Steve Hooley
Steve is a physical therapist at Bay State Physical Therapy whose hobbies include running and exercising. He will be running Falmouth to support both our mission and his wife, Kimmie Kogol, who is on our staff. Donate to Steve's run

John JulioJohn Julio 
John is a parent educator for the Massachusetts Department of Child and Family Services. He will be running in support of his cousin, a past wish recipient. This is John’s second time running the Falmouth Road Race on the Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island team. Donate to John's run

Jenna LaidleyJenna Laidley 
Jenna is student at Colby College, studying neurobiology. This will be her second time fundraising for wish children, and she is also in the process of training to be a wish volunteer. When she’s not contributing time and support to our organization, she is an active community member at her college, playing volleyball, giving tours to prospective students, and tutoring students in chemistry. Kaitlyn LaidleyKaitlyn Laidley
Kaitlyn is an emergency room RN at Hallmark Health Systems. She loves her role as a Make-A-Wish volunteer, and will be running to help grant more wishes and create more smiles. Outside of running Kaitlyn stays active with dance, barre classes, and yoga. Donate to Kaitlyn's run

Kelsey LanmanKelsey Lanman 
Kelsey is an occupational therapist at Spaulding Rehabilitation Network. She loves giving back and often volunteers at local senior centers. Kelsey will be running Falmouth in honor of her step-dad. Donate to Kelsey's run

Katie LemayKatie Lemay 
Katie is a nurse practitioner at Boston Children’s Hospital. She sees first-hand the difference a wish can make for a child, and this is the second Falmouth Road Race she has run with Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island. She will be thinking of her cardiology patients with every step she takes. Donate to Katie's run

Loys MartinLoys Martin

Loys is a QA engineer at Greene Rubber Co. Her granddaughter was a wish child, and Loys still holds dear to her heart the joy that a wish brought to her granddaughter. Loy will be running to help other wish children have a smile just as bright as her granddaughter's smile. Donate to Loys' run

Mary Rose
Mary is a clinical supervisor at the Department of Children and Families, MA. An experienced runner, she has run in numerous races and marathons, but is especially excited to run in support of Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island. As she juggles her work and her race training with her role as a mother, Mary enjoys watching her two sons play baseball. Donate to Mary's run

Tony Sampaio 
Tony has been a Make-A-Wish volunteer for more than 15 years. Tony will be running in honor of his father and for all of the wish children he has met. This will be his second Falmouth Road Race. Donate to Tony's run

Carolyn StearnsCarolyn Stearns 
Carolyn is event manager at Gillette Stadium and recently participated in the Boston Marathon. Carolyn will be running to support all the hard work of the staff at Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island, and in honor of wish children. Donate to Carolyn's run

Jackie TavellaJackie Tavella
Jackie is a designer for Steffian Bradley Architects. She ran the 2018 Boston Marathon, and is ecstatic to run Falmouth in support of Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island. She hopes her grandma will be able to be there to support her at this race. Donate to Jackie's run

Josh is a wish coordinator and will be running for all of his wish children. Josh will have his headphones on, listening to his favorite tunes, and after the race, he’ll most likely be found eating a pepperoni pizza. Donate to Josh's run

Kimmie KogolKimmie Kogol

Kimmie is our special events coordinator and is excited to contribute to our mission in a new and exciting way through her run. Her favorite hobbies include baking and traveling. Fun fact: Kimmie is coordinating our Falmouth Road Race team this year! Donate to Kimmie's run

Jen NikulaJen Nikula

Jen is our finance manager. She loves the Make-A-Wish mission and will be running to help grant more wishes. When Jen isn’t busy in our office, she loves spending quality time with friends and family. Donate to Jen's run
