The tree house was a gift to him from Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Eight-year-old Connor Blaney was diagnosed bilateral Wilms tumor in 2015. He's had surgery, radiation therapy and intensive chemotherapy. His parents said it was tough, but he’s scans have been clear for the past few months and he’s back with his friends.

When Connor Blaney found out he was going to have a wish granted, it didn’t take long for him to decide what he wanted – a Lego set.
His mom, Christy, told him to think bigger.
So he did. He wished for a Corvette.
Since the 8-year-old wouldn’t be able to drive for quite some time, the Blaney family ultimately settled on a custom tree house for Connor, which was revealed to him Saturday afternoon.

Lights flashing and sirens blaring, Mansfield Fire and Police arrived at Gabe's home Sunday to tell him that his Make-A-Wish trip had been granted.

Ten local young philanthropists between the ages of five and eight years old formed a group named the "Birthday Bunch for Make-A-Wish."

It was a very special day for Make-A-Wish on Thursday, as Big Y presented the group with a $150,000 check. The money will be used to grant 18 wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. 2 children from Springfield and one from Chicopee were there for Thursday’s check presentation.

Last September, Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island asked Wood for her help in granting a wish. She was told Maleah, a 6-year-old Taunton girl with sickle cell anemia, wanted to become a model.
