A 4-year-old girl and her family are on the way to Disney World after a magical sendoff at Logan Airport Friday. Alisha Savage, her sister and parents are the 7,000th wish recipients from Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Alisha’s wish, inspired by her love for princesses, kicked off the trip to Orlando, Florida with an early morning escort from the Quincy Police to Terminal B, where a crowd of hundreds of people greeted her.

A 4-year-old from Quincy was granted her wish Friday when she was dubbed a princess and flown to Walt Disney World by Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island and the American Airlines Something mAAgic Foundation.
Alisha Savage left for Orlando with her parents and grandparents in style, starting with a Quincy police motorcade and limousine ride to Logan Airport with princess Elsa from Disney’s “Frozen,” said Make-A-Wish spokeswoman Jordan Salvatoriello.

It was a fairy tale come true at Boston's Logan Airport.
Several princesses including Snow White - all saying bon voyage to 4-year-old Alisha Savage, who'll spend a week at Walt Disney World courtesy of Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
"I can't put into words what Make-A-Wish has done to grant Alisha this wish," said Michelle Savage, Alisha's mom.

Four-year-old Alisha Savage has spent nearly two-thirds of her young life in and out of hospitals being treated for a rare brain tumor.
But on Friday, the little girl from Quincy is getting a much-needed break to immerse herself in a land of princesses, The Patriot Ledger reported Thursday.
Alisha, along with her mother, father and baby sister, will head to Disney World in Florida on a trip made possible by the nonprofit Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
