A Lincoln family has been quarantined since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic to keep its younger member, who was diagnosed with a rare condition, out of harm’s way. Thankfully, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has helped rid some of their cabin fever by granting Skyla’s wish and donating a swingset to the family.

A 3-year-old Sturbridge boy undergoing treatment for a brain tumor received an outdoor playset for his birthday through Make-A-Wish on Saturday. Conor Canavan turned 3 last week and was excited to receive his playset, according to Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Before Elias Yang’s cancer came back he was hoping for a Make-A-Wish trip. But when Elias wasn’t able to travel because of his health and the coronavirus, the Make-A-Wish Foundation figured out another way.

When they run the Boston Marathon for the first time this April, Gray Davidson Carroll will be raising money for Make-A-Wish of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Davidson Carroll, who is 18 and a sociology student at Greenfield Community College, only started running about a year ago, when they were visiting New Zealand to work for an outdoor education program.

A teen from Ware with a critical illness will get his wish granted this weekend as he attends the Super Bowl. Although the Patriots won’t be playing in the Super Bowl this year, Aiden will fulfill his wish of watching a Super Bowl live on Sunday thanks to Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island with the NFL and Make-A-Wish America.

In the two years since Evan Vaudry received his custom-made log cabin from Make-A-Wish, the 8-year-old Cumberland resident, who has spinal muscular atrophy, has received postcards from people from all 50 states and is now working to collect messages from across the world.
