On April 17, 2017, Team Make-A-Wish will be among the thousands of runners conquering a 26.2 mile route into Boston in the 121st running of the Boston Marathon! Our four runners are hard at work training and fundraising, and each runner has a goal of granting a wish through the marathon by raising $8,000 or more. You can help! Meet our runners below and donate to celebrate their incredible commitment to our mission.
Your contribution will help Anna Kelly, Ross, Courtney, and Cory on their journey to the finish line and will move us toward our goal of granting the wish of every medically eligible child in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Anna Kelly Lengsfield - New York, NY
Donate to Anna Kelly's run
Anna Kelly is a sales trader for Bank of America, which plans to support her fundraising efforts by matching gifts. While she has run many half-marathons, this will be her first marathon and she will be running in honor of her dear friend Elizabeth who passed away in 2012 from a rare form of brain cancer.
Anna Kelly chose to run for Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island “to help give a family a lasting memory and help empower a sick child” as well as to continue to spread awareness within her community.
Ross Olson – Georgetown, MA
Donate to Ross' run
Ross is Senior Corporate Training Manager at Dave & Buster’s, a company that partners with Make-A-Wish on a national level. Proud of his company’s involvement with our organization, he would like to make an impact individually as well. This will be his first marathon and he is looking forward to seeing his biggest fans -- his wife and kids -- at the finish line!
“For me, it’s all about giving back. Finding a passion that you can use to both fuel yourself and to do some good in the world. I first started running for my kids. I wanted to stay healthy and active for them! Now, I want to run for the Make-A-Wish kids. What could be better than making a wish come true while setting an example for your children on the importance of giving back?”
Courtney Pirosko – Bolton, MA
Donate to Courtney's run
Courtney is the VP of Sales New England/ Mid-West at AIS-Inc. She enjoys golf, skiing, traveling, and volunteering with various charities. This will be her second marathon, but first time running Boston! Having worked her way through college at a pediatrics office, she was exposed to several children facing cancer, which made her want to do anything she could to make their lives and those of their families a little brighter. For this reason, she will be running for all of the children who have been diagnosed with the life-threatening disease.
“This organization is amazing. They fulfill the dreams and wishes of children who often don’t know what their future holds. Make-A-Wish gives families hope and happiness in times that might seem dark.”
Cory Stockmal – New York, NY
Donate to Cory's run
Cory is an equity trader for Och-Ziff. He enjoys playing sports like football and basketball, and outdoor activities like hiking. Cory has never run a marathon before, however, the Boston Marathon is very important to him as he is originally from Boston. He will be running in honor of our organization, all of those who were affected by the Boston Marathon bombing, and all of his friends and family who have run for a cause in the past.
“This is an amazing charity and I am honored to run for it.”
We are very grateful to be participating in the John Hancock Non-Profit Program, which made this opportunity possible.
